14 Day Italy Pilgrimage
Rome, Shrines of the Blessed Mother,
Saints, and Miracles of the Eucharist
June 24 - July 7, 2019
Enroute to Italy. We travel from our hometown to Rome, Italy.
Arrive Rome. After we gather all pilgrims, our bus driver will be waiting for us to load all luggage and begin our Journey of Faith Pilgrimage. We will visit and have a guided tour of the beautiful and largest Marian Church in Rome St. Mary Major, which houses a relic of the manger where our Lord Jesus was born and where we will celebrate Mass. Transfer to our hotel.
DAY 3 ROME (B)
Today, we take part in the general audience with Pope Francis, where he will give a powerful teaching.After the Pope’s audience, free time for shopping, ending the day with Mass at a local Church in Rome.
DAY 4 ROME (B)
In the morning, we will have a guided tour by our Roman guide through the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's Creation of the World and the Last Judgment. We will continue on to St. Peter’s Basilica. It includes the Pieta, the tombs of St. John Paul II and St. John XXIII. In the afternoon, we will have a guided city tour, which will include the major Basilicas of Rome, St. Paul Outside the Walls where we will celebrate Mass and pray at the Chapel of St. Brigid of Sweden, St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome and the Scala Santa. Return to our hotel.
DAY 5 ROME – CASCIA – MONTEFALCO – ASSISI (BD)
This morning we leave Rome and on our way to Assisi, we will make a stop in Cascia, where we will venerate the incorrupt body of St. Rita, and another powerful Miracle of the Eucharist. St. Rita known as the Saint of the Impossible. We continue our travels in the Umbrian valley to the shrine of St. Clare of Montefalco where we will celebrate Mass. Visit the incorrupt body of the Augustinian Saint - meet her community of nuns; visit the cloister and garden where there is a special tree for you to see. Continue on to beautiful Assisi, the Land of St. Francis and St. Clare. Transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6 ASSISI (BD)
Begin with Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis. Followed with a guided tour of the Church. We then go to the Church of St. Clare across town to visit the tomb of St. Clare and the original Cross of San Damiano.In the afternoon we visit Santa Maria degli Angeli, and the Porziuncola, the first Church of St. Francis, and the Rose Garden. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7 ASSISI – CITTA DI CASTELLO – OSIMO –LORETO (BD)
We begin our day in Citta di Castello, home of St. Veronica Giuliani, visionary, mystic and Stigmatist. Celebrate Mass here and venerate her incorrupt body. Continue on to Osimo to visit the shrine of St. Joseph of Cupertino, the Flying Saint and patron of students. We will relive his life and ministry here. We end our day in Loreto, the shrine of the Holy House of Loreto.
DAY 8 LORETO (BD)
Begin our day with Mass at the Holy House of Loreto. Our Lady will speak to you here. After Mass and breakfast, we will tour the Basilica. There are many chapels dedicated to the various Saints who have prayed here. In addition to the presence of Our Lady in this holy place, it has been visited by many Saints, Blesseds, and Popes down through the Ages. We visit the Congregation of the Holy House where there are English-speaking books. The rest of the day is free to spend time with Our Lady of Loreto. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 9 LORETO – LANCIANO - SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO (BD)We travel to Lanciano, the oldest Miracle of the Eucharist in the history of the Church. See the incorrupt host turned into flesh and wine turned into blood. See the Museum, which shows the Authentication. We will celebrate Mass here. Continue on to San Giovanni Rotondo, home of St. Padre Pio, for dinner and overnight.
DAY 10 MT. ST. ANGELO - SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO (BD)
Begin day with Mass at the Cave of St. Michael in the Gargano, which he claimed for himself and the Angels in the Fifth Century. See the chair Pope John Paul II sat in when he visited this shrine. See the beautiful statue of St. Michael. Return to San Giovanni Rotondo where we will have a tour of the Shrine to St. Padre Pio. Visit his cell, where he lived and died, the choir loft where he received the Stigmata in 1918, his tomb, and the antique church where he celebrated most of his Masses. We have a meeting in the English-speaking office, where you can have Masses offered. All books, DVDS in English and religious items are available at this office. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 11 MATERDOMINI - MUGNANO DEL CARDINALE - SALERNO (BD)
We travel to Materdomini, and the Shrine of St. Gerard Majella, a very powerful intercessor for healthy childbirths. He is also known as the Handkerchief Saint. See his shrine, his reliquary room which is filled with ex-votos of babies born healthy, the cell he lived in, and his tomb. Celebrate Mass here. We continue on to Mugnano del Cardinale, the Shrine of St. Philomena, an early Martyr of the Church. View the remains of the Saint, and her shrine. We go to Salerno for dinner and overnight.
DAY 12 SALERNO – POMPEII - SALERNO (BD)
We begin our day in New Pompeii, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Pompeii. Celebrate Mass here. Learn the history of the Shrine and its founder, Bl. Bartolo Longo, Apostle of the Rosary. Visit his tomb and the house where he lived when he was building the shrine to our Lady. In the afternoon, we will have a guided tour of the Ruins of old Pompeii, which was destroyed and buried under volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 13 MONTECASSINO – NETTUNO – ROME AIRPORT (B)
Today we leave Salerno and travel to Montecassino, the famous Abbey and most fascinating Shrine of St. Benedict, founder of the Benedictine order and father of western monasticism. Visit this church and the tombs of St. Benedict and St. Scholastica, his sister. Continue on to Nettuno and the Shrine of St. Maria Goretti, the little White and Crimson Rose of Jesus, where we will celebrate our Mass. St. Maria Goretti died defending her virginity. On to our Rome Airport Hotel.
DAY 14 ROME – HOME
We board a flight from Rome to the United States - Return home the same day.

Terms & Conditions
Pilgrimage Prices: Quoted in US Dollars, based on rates, tariffs and exchange rates in effect on January 2018. Rates are subject to change in the event of revisions. Pilgrimages with less than the required number of passengers may depart at the discretion of JC Ministry Inc./dba Journeys of Faith, but an additional cost maybe incurred. Pilgrims will be advised of any surcharges before departure. Rates published are based on double occupancy, with additional charge for single.
What is Included in Basic Pilgrimage Package: All land transportation via air-conditioned luxury motor coach. All first class hotels - Two meals per day (as indicated by Breakfast and Dinner) except in Rome, which includes breakfast only. All Sightseeing, all tips, and Baggage Handling - Price includes only one suitcase per passenger, no heavier than 50 lbs. All baggage is the responsibility of the pilgrim and airline/hotel or bus company.
Airfare: Group airfares available from Dallas and Wichita. Group air prices available from other cities upon request. Group airfares do not allow upgrades nor seat selection. Airline tickets constitute the sole contract between the airline and the passenger.
Land Price Only: Does not include air nor airport transfers. However, transfers will be available provided you arrive at scheduled Pilgrimage dates and times. If you arrive prior to or after the scheduled Pilgrimage dates and times, you will need to provide your own transportation, at your own cost. Pick up and drop off schedule will be provided prior to departure. If you decide not to use group airfare available, Journeys of Faith will be most happy to help you book your air at the best prices available on the market at the time of booking. With these uncertain times, it is best that you check with Journeys of Faith before booking your own air.
Also Not Included Are: Any items not mentioned above or of a personal nature such as Passport and Visa fees, laundry, beverages, tips for room service, excess baggage charges, health and accident insurance, medical expenses incurred,replacement of items forgotten or stolen while on pilgrimage. Also not included is tip for bus driver. Suggested tip $3.00 per day per person.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Additional Charge for Visas for Non -U.S. Citizens
Deviations: Any deviations from the pilgrimage, requested by the pilgrim, will be assessed at an additional administrative charge of $100.00 per person, plus any additional costs the change may incur.
Responsibility: JC Ministry Inc/dba Journeys of Faith reserves the right to cancel a departure date or a whole pilgrimage due to lack of participation or for reasons beyond our control such as natural disasters, acts of war, acts of God or government restrictions. If such an unlikely event should occur, we will offer an alternate departure date or pilgrimage program. Should you decline an alternate date or should we cancel the pilgrimage outright, the limit of our liability to you will be the refund of all monies received, including any cancellation penalties. We will not be liable, however, for costs incurred by you not paid to us, such as visas and passport costs, items of a personal nature, domestic transportation either by ground or air etc....nor will we be liable for any psychological damages, traumas, stress, disappointment, personal and financial loss resulting from our change of departure date or cancellation of a pilgrimage. This right is also reserved to alter the itinerary should this become advisable due to schedule changes and other causes beyond the control of the operator.
Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the passenger, conversely, refund will be made to the passenger if any savings is effected thereby. Itineraries and prices are subject to change without notice. If a pilgrim leaves, and their roommate remains, the rate will revert to single room supplement for remainder of trip which remaining pilgrim will have to pay. The pilgrim understands that he/she has no claim against JC Ministry Inc./dba Journeys of Faith for any delay or damage to or loss of property or baggage or injury to or death of persons due to any neglect or willful act of a direct air carrier, hotel, bus company, transportation company or service company of any kind, or any other person or persons rendering any of the services being offered in connection with these pilgrimages. JC Ministry Inc./dba Journeys of Faith acts only as an agent in securing hotels, transportation and other travel services, and in no event shall JC Ministry Inc./dba Journeys of Faith be liable for any act, accidental or intentional of a third party. In the event of a litigation, both parties agree that such procedures will take place in and under the jurisdiction of Conway County, Arkansas, the headquarters of JC Ministry Inc./dba Journeys of Faith.
Physical Disabilities: Any disability requiring special attention must be noted on the Pilgrimage Information Form. Any person who cannot travel independently,or who needs physical assistance of any kind, must be accompanied by a companion who can fully and solely attend to the person’s needs. Our guides and drivers cannot help a handicapped person, nor can we ask our staff or the pilgrims to help. We are really not equipped to handle Handicapped pilgrims. We are also not equipped to handle special dietary needs. The pilgrim must take care of any special needs directly with airlines, hotels or bus himself.
Reservations and Payments: For reservations, please complete the Pilgrimage Membership Application. A Deposit of Faith of $500.00 per person will hold your reservation up to sixty days prior to departure. FULL PAYMENT IS DUE 45 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE. Please note: Credit card payments will incur an additional 3% fee.
Cancellation and Refund: Full refund of all monies is made if cancellation is received up to 60 days before departure. For cancellations received between 59-31 days, $500.00 Cancellation Fee per person. For Cancellations received 30 days prior to departure, Cancellation fee of 100% of the price (totally non-refundable). No refunds if you fail to complete tour. No refund can be made for any unused services(such as missed meals or sightseeing tours). This is why we strongly recommend Trip Cancellation Insurance.
Baggage: On land portions, one suit case, 50 pounds TOTAL WEIGHT PER PERSON is included in your Basic Pilgrimage Package. For each additional piece, $7.00 US Dollars per hotel is charged.
